I am a diabetic and cannot eat the sweet fruits. I cannot get my blood sugar under control even without the sweet fruits. Do you have any suggestions that might help me on the journey?

Hi Mickey,

thanks for your message. Well, you can certainly see big shifts as a diabetic if you shift over to raw. The main place to point you is Gabriel Cousens' new book 'There is a Cure for Diabetes' - that ought to be your first point of call He has been doing tremendous work at the Tree of Life centre in Arizona to help people reverse diabetes.

The film 'Raw in 30 Days' was made at the Tree too, showing a group of diabetics who all reversed their condition by going raw - see the trailer here:

As for foods - chia seed is FANTASTIC for diabetics - it helps enormously to balance blood sugars. You can see the whole cheat sheet I wrote about it here:

and we sell chia here:

Aside from that, obviously try to get LOTS of greens into the system - green JUICE preferably, or green smoothies would work too
If you intend to juice feast, you would do better to proceed with just vegetable juices, for maximal healing, rather than a mixture of fruit/veggies. If you DO have fruit juices, it would be good to retain SOME of the fibre in them, to help slow the sugar absorption.
If you are more interested in EATING raw, then that is again a whole different area. You will be able to eat some fruits, but preferably with some nuts at the same time, again to slow the sugar impact, especially in the beginning. You want to get LOTS of greens into your body, regardless.

Hope that helps

All blessings,
Angela. xxx
