Blenders and YOU! 3 Months, 3 Weeks ago Karma: 0
Hi Gang,

OK, whats the deal? Is Vita-mix really so differant when compared to others (like Blendtec)? I hear blendtec is very loud, but some people have sworn by plain old cheeper blenders that make green smoothies "just as smooth".

SO...whats everyone opinion and experience? I'll be needing a new blender and would rather not drop $500 if at all possible! LOL

DISCUSS!

Lovies,
Squirrelletta

OK, no one has any advice and the clock to purchase is ticking.

What I have discovered is a lot of raw foodist's pushing vita-mix however Blendtec has 3 Horse power and vita mix has only 2? Is there something I'm missing because Blendtec seems more powerful and much less expensive.

Thanks gang!

Personally, I love my K-tec HP3 blender (which is blender made my Blend-tec). It may be noisy, but I have heard the same thing about the Vitamix. I mean, when you go to a juice bar you always see a Blendtec blender being used so they must be good right?

Let us know what you decide.

I agree, I always see K-tec's at health places. Good point.

I'm going to go with the blendtec. The economy is hurting us bad right now and I'll be lucky to not be picking out a used regular blender from Goodwill at this point! LOL

I'll let you know what I do.

If anyone else has any experience, please!, share with me.
