The reason I'm going raw is I'm recovering from a severe full body flare up of eczema that lasted for 8 years. Most of it has gone now, but my face is still suffering.
I've bought mushrooms, romaine lettuce, brazil nuts, pine nuts, cashews, raisins, cherry tomatoes, plantain, yam, sun-dried tomatoes, courgettes, carrots, eggs, avocadoes, oranges, olive oil, Himalayan sea salt, spinach.
I've been watching Karen Knowler's YouTube videos and have so far made Raw Muesli with almond milk, flax seed crackers, and veggie burgers (absolutely delish)
I've been trying to go raw since 2007, but keep falling off the bandwagon. I've got recipe books and have educated myself on eating raw and now that my face is still eczematous and itchy, I just want to look and feel better.
Because my skin has been okay for 5 months, including my face, I've been eating out a lot, but I discovered a boil on my forehead earlier last week and put French green clay on my face which dried it out.
I've had a liver flush done last Friday/Saturday and feel very energetic now. I've been raw since Saturday and purpose that when I eat out, I'll just go to Pizza Hut and go to their salad bar and pile my plate up high.
I'm also into green juices. I'll be going to the market to buy aloe leaves so that I can have an aloe/green apple/cucumber smoothie.
These should clear my skin up by next week.
I've also been to the sauna, to give my face some heat and allow the pores to go through some deep cleansing.
Well, that's enough and I'm glad to join this forum. Glad I found it.
