I found this site very interesting. I need to loose weight. Where do I start? I guess about 30 pounds, more or less. Do I start to juice and how? Please direct any you can.

Welcome Jannet!
First I would recommend Angles' Raw weight loss e-book. It is very good! I love her writing and helpful suggestions. It is very inexpensive and well worth the money. Next I would immerse myself either in a couple of really good raw books or the web. If you google raw you will find alot of info. out there. The biggest bit of advice I will share is take it slow. This is a life_style_ NOT a quick diet fix! I am a 100% raw but only for about 2 months now. Prior to this I was 80-20 for about a year. I gave up all meat immeadiatley, that for me was easy. Then in about 3 months after that I gave up all dairy and eggs. Next came any yeast bread and anything in a box. For me it has been a slow process but one I am content with. I have read a lot and tried to educate myself. There is a wonderful DVD that is currently out called "Raw for Life". I would advice getting ahold of it and watching it, also if you have never seen "SuperSize Me" watch it. David Wolfe and Gabriel Cousens both have wonderful books out that I would encourage you to read as well as Victoria Boutenko. Start eliminating processed food from your diet and add in more fresh live organic produce. That is a huge first step. Learn all you can and reach out to the raw community. You don't have to start juicing right away. Juicers, good ones, are expensive and an investment. Not something you want to run out and get if this isn't going to be a perminant way for you. Good Luck and hope this helps a little ~Monica
