Celebrating Our First Wedding Anniversary :)

HAPPY SUMMER SOLSTICE :)

Today Mr Monarch and I have been celebrating our first wedding anniversary together :) YAY :)

On June 21st 2009, we joined together with around 450 other light beings at the Raw Union festival in Southern Oregon, to exchange vows under the guidance of David Avocado Wolfe, wearing his 'Bishop' hat for the day (not literally, though there were suggestions for a Bishop's hat made of raw chocolate to be included in the festivities ;)...
The festival was a truly ext-RAW-dinary time of celebration, joy and MASSIVE love vibes, kissed by the sun's rays and surrounded by friends and loved ones...thanks to all of you who came out to celebrate with us that weekend... :)

*Raw Union Recipe Ebook - we were totally blissed to have our wedding catered by our dear delightful raw friend Solla from Iceland and for our wedding cake to be made by the supremely talented and angelic Chaya-Ryvka. We put all the recipes from the wedding into an ebook, which can be accessed HERE - enjoy ;)

Our first year of marriage together has been a JOY and I feel extremely blessed :) I feel ever-more closer to the marvellous Monarch daily, as we explore our paths together, learning how to support each other, where and when to let go, watching for each others' vulnerabilities, doing our best each day and in each moment to treat each other with care, love and kindess...the more time we pass together, the easier all of this flow seems to become and it feels like such a delicious treat to be able to share my life with someone who truly seeks to communicate openly, clearly and with compassion...
I spent many years of my life alone and lonely, in a morbidly obese body, feeling isolated, unloveable and miserable...to have somebody in my life at all feels like a huge blessing to me and to have someone as loving, kind and genuine as Mr. Monarch is a total gift from the universal love vibe :)

As our wedding rings state: "I am Love, Lover and Beloved" - I choose to remember 'the golden rule' in my interactions with my beloved - to treat him as I would love to be treated myself, to see him as my mirror, to ask myself gently 'what would LOVE do in this situation?', to take the time and energy to breathe deeper into challenging situations and know that we can work through things together with loving compassion...we both want to be happy and we both want each other to be happy - so we aim to access and maintain a reality where that is our experience together as much as possible...

In this first year of marriage together, we have been on an intensive 7month+ speaking tour of the USA, experienced a car crash in which both cars were totaled, lived on juice for a month over Christmas and New Year at the Tree of Life, helped expand our business warehouse in California into three times the size, moved to our new home in Vilcabamba Ecuador, set up our permaculture gardens and orchard, hosted an international raw food gathering in Vilcabamba, renovated our house and enjoyed countless other wild adventures besides...life with the dynamic Mr. M certainly is a colourful ride ;)

I'm excited to see what adventures and joys the coming years will hold for us, as we deepen ever-more into this Union... Thank you all for your support of our journeys, thank you to all of you who came to our wedding, or sent kind wishes our way at that time - we remember you all with great fondness in our hearts and much gratitude - we love you :)))

...and of course, a blossoming lotus of love and gratitude to my beloved Mr. Monarch, my dashing, quirky, Rawquarian prince - Happy Anniversary, my love :)
